You should never apply relaxer Creme to previously relaxed hair. Apply only to new growth hair.Q.Can I relax and color my hair on the same day?A.As with any relaxer system you must be extremely careful when performing two processes on the same day. We do not recommend that you relax and use any permanent hair color on the same day. You should wait two weeks between your relaxer and color service in order to ensure the safety and integrity of your hair. Using semi-permanent color or rinses on the same day is fine.Q.How do I know what strength of relaxer to use, regular or super?A.The amount of the movement in the hair is described as the “type” of hair, straight, wavy or curly. It’s important to understand your individual hair curl pattern, in its natural state (non-relaxed). Knowing your natural curl pattern will help you choose the correct hair products like the strength of relaxer kit.Curl Patterns – Take an individual strand of hair and observe the curl pattern. Super curly hair looks like a coil, medium curl has an S-shaped pattern, slightly wavy hair has an elongated curl and straight hair is not always obvious as you might think. While some hair is super straight, other straight hair may have a slight bend. Often medium-curly hair can be very curly at the nape and at the hairline. For coiled to curly hair use the Super strength. For medium curl or straighter use Regular strength. Q.What type of color is Creme of Nature Permanent Gel Hair Color?A.There are 3 types of hair color 1) Temporary (sometimes called a rinse) 2) Semi-permanent and 3) permanent hair color. Creme of Nature Colors is permanent hair color.Q.Are there chemicals in Creme of Nature Permanent Gel Hair Color product?A.Yes, because it is a hair coloring product that permanently changes the color of the hair, there is some hydrogen peroxide in the product. To balance the chemical process, the colorant is infused with hydrolyzed wheat protein and other conditioners so that the hair remains healthy and conditioned after use.Q.How often can I use Colors™?A.Colors can be used about every 6-8 weeks, but must not be used on the same day as a chemical relaxer. We recommend 2 weeks lapse between the use of a relaxer and the use of permanent hair color to avoid damaging the hair.Q.How long will Creme of Nature Colors permanent gel hair color last?A.Creme of Nature Colors permanent hair color will change the color of the hair permanently. New growth can be colored about every 6-8 weeks. And certain shampoos may dull or strip the color from the hair. The color that has been stripped can be refreshed with new color at the same time as covering the new growth every 6-8 weeks. We recommend Creme of Nature Color Care shampoo and Color Care Conditioner to protect the color and shine.Q.Will Creme of Nature Colors permanent gel hair color work on locks?A.Yes, Creme of Nature Colors works particularly well in coloring locked hair, which sometimes can be dense and difficult to color. The Liquid Crystal Technology in the formula penetrates and evenly colors from root to end.Q.What’s better about Creme of Nature Colors than other brands?
Q.What is Liquid Crystal Technology?A.A delivery system where the colorant penetrates to the interior of each strand (the cortex) resulting in a uniform shade from root to end, that lasts a long time.3-Dimensional Illustration of Liquid Crystal Technology: Q. What is dandruff? A.Dandruff occurs when the cells on the scalp are being shed more quickly than normal. The cells turn over, build up on the scalp, mix with sebum (oil), become inflamed and start to itch. A person with dandruff can have one or all of these symptoms, and when these microscopic cells clump together, they form visible flakes. No one knows what causes dandruff, but theories run the gamut from bacteria to fungi to yeast infections. The cells that form dandruff have a higher moisture content than other scalp cells, and they can serve as a breeding ground for bacteria, yeast and fungus, which causes itching. There are two types of dandruff:
Q.If you have dandruff, what is the best way to care for the scalp?A.The best way to care for a scalp that has dandruff is to shampoo with product that has an anti-fungal ingredient like pyrithaone zinc. Cleanse as often as possible with a shampoo like Creme of Nature® Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, rinse thoroughly and moisturize hair and scalp with Creme of Nature® Nourishing Conditioner. In between shampoos apply Creme of Nature Anti-Dandruff soothing lotion to control flakes and moisten the scalp.Q.How can I prevent dandruff?
Q.What causes split ends in the hair?A.Hair splits for many reasons. Combing, brushing, braiding, weaving, twisting, improper styling all contribute to hair damage and split ends. When hair is not trimmed regularly, the ends of the hair will get weak and split. Remember the ends of the hair is the hair you have had the longest. If your hair is naturally curly, the ends become dry because the few natural oils secreted on the scalp never make it through the curls to the ends. Once hair starts to split, it won’t stop. It will keep splitting farther and farther up the hair shaft. It is best to see your professional stylist for a health trim every 4 to 6 weeks. Conditioning split ends will only serve as a band aid. They will look better temporarily but the split will remain until trimmed. The hair grows ½ inch per month. In 12 months ( a year ), if the hair is healthy, you should accumulate at least 6 inches of new hair. Having regular healthy hair trims and maintaining good hair habits will help keep away the splitfest. |
