This year has seen a significant increase in the number of applications, so the judges will have to work extra hard. The award for 2010 sees the introduction of an exciting new development. In a few weeks the judges will announce the five finalists each with a chance to win £10,000. Each finalist will then have one month to get out and about and promote their idea into their community and encourage people to vote for their great idea - because the finalist who receives the largest votes wins the £10,000. Voting will take place in real time on the Community Action Award website, so you can see exactly what the scores are ever day. The good news is that everyone’s a winner with the 1st runner up receiving £1750, 2nd runner up receiving £1000, 3rd runner up receiving £750 and the 4th runner up receiving £500.
