Special Blessing on a Special Day

The Creme of Nature Community Action Award winner for 2009 was the Shern Hall Methodist Steel Band, and on Sunday 21st March a packed congregation celebrated the arrival of the pans with a special Blessing and dedication.

For nearly 5 years the Band has been playing with great success on borrowed instruments - with little prospects of raising the thousands of pounds required for a full set of pans. So the £10,000 from the Creme of Nature Community Action Award struck just the right note, and the Band is now looking forward to a bright future.
